Trio no Treble is a young and up-and-coming Norwegian string trio that consists of viola, cello and double bass. A trio without treble, only dark and deep sound!
Trio no Treble was founded in 2017 and has played many successful concerts around in Norway, Sweden and Serbia. In the 2020-2021 season, they played concerts at Ibsenhuset in Skien, Flekkefjord, Nordfjordeid, Bodø and Røst, among other places. For three years they have been festival trio at Helgeland Arts Festival, as well as playing concerts in Kristiansund and at the Opera in Oslo. In the spring of 2021, they were stage musicians during the Czardas Princess at the Opera in Kristiansund, and the opera in Stjørdal. In 2020, they released two albums. A "classic" album which includes Trygve Brøske's commissioned work "Trio (no) Trouble", and a Christmas album. Both albums received excellent reviews.
In 2022 they are celebrating 5 years as a string trio. During their anniversary year they will play concerts in Norway, Denmark and Germany.
The members of Trio no Treble are versatile musicians with regular engagements in the Trondheim Soloists and the Trondheim Symphony Orchestra. They all have a Bachelor's and Master's degree from NTNU Institute for music, and they have studied in Germany, Switzerland and Sweden.
