Beethoven Festival 2027
From 9 to 23 May 2027, the Beethoven Festival Leipzig invites you to rediscover Beethoven at the Gewandhaus: with grand symphony concerts by the Gewandhausorchester conducted by Andris Nelsons, world-class chamber music and recitals, as well as programmes that reimagine Beethoven’s music from a contemporary perspective. Highlights include performances by Lang Lang, Igor Levit, Leonidas Kavakos, Anna Prohaska and Michael Wollny, alongside special features such as the new production of ‘Egmont’ with Tobias Moretti, as well as crossover and participatory events. The result is a festival that blends great tradition, artistic excellence and new approaches to Beethoven.
